We have two types of Home Learning:-
1. EVERY week the children have some Home Learning (Homework) to do.
This consists of Spelling and Maths.
Spelling- the children have 10 spelling words to learn in their notebooks every week. They are required to write a sentence for each word in their Home Learning book.
10 words = 10 sentences.
Maths - the children will have a Basic Facts maths sheet in their Home Learning book each week.
Home Learning is sent home on a Monday and due back at school on Thursday morning.
There is still Home Learning to do even if the child is absent on a Monday!
2. Home Learning Challenges.
These are set early in the term. The children have some challenges to do that are based around the Inquiry topic for the term.
We strongly encourage parents/caregivers and family members to work with your children on these challenges.
The first challenges are due back to school om Monday March 23rd. Can you please make sure that you have signed your child's challenges in the booklet before he work comes to me?
I hope you have enjoyed working on these challenges together.
Don't forget to use Mathletics, Reading Eggs and Storybird as part of your child's Home Learning as well.
