Be Responsible

The last two weeks have been extremely busy at school.
We have been practising hard with Matua Anton and Lui for the Cultural Festival. On Thursday 3rd September we performed on stage. We were first for the day.
Most of us were very nervous because it was our very first time.
It was a great day. Here we are waiting to go on stage.
Have a look at the Youtube video on our website. Our performance is cool.

On Friday 4th September Mrs Geal, Mrs Devonald and Mrs Thorne took 31 children in to Cathedral Square to go to see the Exxopolis Luminarium that is part of the Christchurch Arts Festival.  All of the children that went were chosen because they are Responsible Self-Managing Learners.
We had to go to the Novotel Hotel - gee it's flash in there - to go to the opening of the Luminarium. There were lots of important people there. We had yummy food to eat and listened to speeches. After that we had our photo taken with the Deputy Mayor.
We walked across the square to see the Luminarium and we were very excited.
This is what it looks like on the outside.

These are some pictures of what it looked like inside. It was amazing. Lots of colours. The colours made us look different and our clothes changed colour. It was easy to get lost in there.
