Respectful, Responsible, Recycling Learners in Room 9.

On Monday we had a lot of apricots left over after fruit break.

We didn't want to waste them so we decided to recycle them into something that we could use.
On Tuesday morning we took the pips out of the apricots.

We slced the apricots and put them in Mrs Geal's dehydrator.

We turned the dehydrator on. It took a very long time.

The next morning the apricots looked like this.

They were so small. All the juice had gone.

The big bucket of apricots shrank down to a bowl of dried apricots.
The flavour was very strong.
Hannah thought that they felt squishy and tasted delicious.
Ahmad Reza thought they tasted yum like oranges.
Ebony thought that the skin felt as smooth as a seal's fur.
Priyanshu thought they were soft and sticky.
Carlee didn't like the after taste.
Isis Anne didn't like them.

We all had our own opinions after we tried a new food.
