Always Learning in Room 9

As part of the Inquiry this term we have been learning about renewable energy sources. We have learned that the sun radiates a lot of energy that we can use. We did an experiment with an ice cube to show how the sun's energy works.

We discovered the ice blocks on the black paper melted the fastest because black attracts the heat.

The ice blocks on the white paper melted more slowly because white reflects  the heat away.
